Out of all the short films and music videos that I have made, the best (or the ones that ring well) are the ones that are autobiographical in nature.
After a while I realized that I had even more stories to tell that I never thought of filming. I took to compiling all of these fragments of failure, bad timing, and many instances of losing my temper and began work on a feature length script that dramatized all of these moments. The uneven plot that I wrote crammed them all in the timeframe of a month. The script was a mess (and not in a good way). I started writing sequences to glue together all the things that happened and they were kind of embarrassing.
After being convinced to make a web series, I tried applying to make something that was still dramatized. I only had the time and the funds to make a $0 trailer of me speaking to the camera with a microphone in public. It didn't really pitch much other than of me talking about all of my various failures. But who cares? It was actually much better than what I previously thought of.
I took an old VHS tape of my Grade 11 French class's video projects and intercut them.
